چکیده
Reflectometry of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) signals from the ocean surface has provided a new source observations to study ocean-atmosphere interaction. We investigate sensitivity and performance GNSS-Reflectometry (GNSS-R) data retrieve sea roughness (SSR) as an indicator state. A set one-year in 2016 is acquired coastal GNSS-R experiment Onsala, Sweden. The exploits two sea-looking antennas with right- left-hand circular polarizations (RHCP LHCP). interference direct reflected captured by used receiver generate complex interferometric fringes. process estimate contributions reflections total power. power estimates are inverted SSR using state-of-the-art model. measurements RHCP LHCP links evaluated against match-up wind obtained nearest meteorological station. results report on successful retrieval overall correlations 0.76 for both links. However, effect more pronounced. influence surrounding coastlines direction dependence discussed. analysis reveals that winds blowing land have minimal impact due limited fetch. clear improvement correlation 0.82 observed combined polarimetric can also improve change

Sea Surface Roughness Estimation Using Signals from Multiple GNSS Satellites
Global Navigation Satellite System reflectometry (GNSS-R) has recently drawn significant attention since it can be employed in a range of applications including sea state, ocean altimetry, soil moisture measurement, and disaster (e.g. flooding, bushfire, and earthquake) monitoring. Although research on GNSS-R in the past two decades has made advances, there are no (or few) real applications of ...
متن کاملSea surface topography retrieved from GNSS reflectometry phase data of the GEOHALO flight mission
Sea surface topography observations are deduced from an airborne reflectometry experiment. A GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver dedicated for reflectometry was set up aboard the German HALO (High Altitude Long Range) research aircraft. Flights were conducted over the Mediterranean Sea about 3500m above sea level. A signal path model divided into largeand small-scale contribution...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends
flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
Sea level observations using multi-system GNSS reflectometry
Information on sea level and its changes are important in connection to global climate change processes. For centuries, sea level has been observed with coastal tide gauges and since some decades with satellite altimetry. Furthermore, during recent years the application of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) reflectometry, also known as GNSS-R, for sea level observations has been develope...
